2.1 Product Information
All the information on the YAK website is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that all product descriptions are current and error free. We will correct errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. Colour names and photos are for your convenience only. Because of the difference in which computer screens display colours, the colour that you see may not match the actual colour of the yarn.
For a delivery address in the UK, we use Royal Mail “1st class mail”, un-tracked and uninsured. Provided the goods are in stock, items will be dispatched within 2 to 3 days. Delivery times vary, but are typically 2 days for UK, however, please allow up to a week for delivery.
If the delivery address is outside the UK, we use the UK’s Royal Mail “International Standard” service. If in stock, goods will be despatched within 2 to 3 working days. Delivery times vary, but are typically 7-10 days for Europe and 10-14 days for the rest of the world.
2.3 Payment & Card Security
We accept all Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, Maestro and JCB Cards, but we do not accept American Express cards. Payments to the online shop are made via the World Pay, which uses SSL technology, a common method for sending secure payment transactions over the internet. Please note that we do not accept payment by cheque or Paypal in our online shop.
Your order is accepted once payment is received. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email.
2.4 Out of Stock Goods
In the event that we do not have enough stock to complete your order, we will email or phone you to advise. You may wish to have your requested items back-ordered at that point, take part delivery or cancel the order.
3. Cancellation & Returns
3.1 Cancelling Your Order
You have the right to cancel your order any time up to and including seven days after delivery.
For a full refund, you must contact us in writing (by email or by letter, but not by telephone), within seven days, and goods must be returned unopened and in a re-saleable condition.
You will be responsible for the original shipping costs, and the cost of returning the goods to us. We cannot be liable for returned goods which are lost or damaged in transit, so please ensure you use a recorded delivery service and insure the items for their value.
You will receive a cheque from us or a credit will appear on your credit or debit card within thirty days of our receipt of the goods.
3.2 Damaged Goods
Provided you notify us within seven days of the receipt of the goods, we will happily reimburse any delivery costs incurred when returning damaged merchandise, and will send replacement merchandise at no cost to you.
Please return the damaged goods as below along with a description of the damage. Failing such notice, the goods shall be deemed to be in accordance with these terms and conditions and you will be deemed to have accepted the goods and to be liable to pay for all and any charges therefore.
3.3 Returning Goods
Goods returned to YAK must be accompanied by a copy of the original order number, customer’s email address, phone number and delivery address. We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

3.4 Cancellation By Us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
(a) we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered
(b) we do not deliver to your area
(c) one or more goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
If we do cancel the contract we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
We do not disclose customer information to any third parties. Customers who sign up for the mailing list will be emailed by YAK from time to time, with news about the shop until they opt out of this service.
