Crazy Zauberball is the ultimate self striping sock yarn and with a two strand twist that is constantly changing colour, this yarn really does earn the name crazy! Bright, bold and intense colours will provide you with an endless playground of colour possibilities.

With 75% wool and 25% nylon this yarn naturally lends itself to socks, but it’s variegated colour ways would also be great for colour work, shawls or to add a bright touch to a simple top.

Unlike most other brands, who use non-biodegradable synthetic fibres to add strength to their sock yarns, Schopple Wolle use eco-friendly, biodegradable polyamide to give you the strength of nylon without the added harm to the environment – perfect for those who want to maximise their sustainability.

Synthetic fibres will remain in the environment for decades before they degrade completely, but Schopple Wolle’s polyamide can degrade quickly as it’s composition makes it easier for the bacteria to access the fibres and accelerate the biodegradation process – decomposing in around 5 years!

The advantages of synthetic fibres such as tear strength are retained and like natural fibres daily use will not start the degradation process.
