Our learn to crochet is the perfect place to start you on your crochet journey. The possibilities with crochet are endless but you need to start with the basics.

Our wonderful tutor Eleonora will provide loads of inspiration and guide you through from the start. You can decide in which direction you’d like to go. Granny squares are a great place to start but you will be introduced to the endless possibilities that crochet can offer and you will be able to choose how you’d like to apply your new skills.

What will I learn?

This beginner crochet class is the perfect place to start your crochet journey, Granny squares aren’t for everyone so Eleonora is happy to guide you in whichever direction you want to go. Skills you will learn include,

– choosing the right materials
– how to hold the hook
– chain stitch
– double crochet
– working in rows
– working in the round
– granny squares
– basic pattern reading

How long is the class?

The learn to knit class is a single 3 hour session.

Who is the class for?

This course is designed for people with no crochet experience at all. This class is for adults only.

Are materials included?

Materials are not included but will be available to purchase on the day at a 10% discount.

If you would like to bring your own materials please bring DK weight yarn and a 4.50 mm crochet hook.

Taught by Eleonora Tully

Eleonora is a crochet designer and writes a crochet blog ‘Coastal Crochet’ She has had many of her designs published in crochet magazines including ‘Simply Crochet’ and ‘Crochet Now’. She posts regular crochet updates on her popular Instagram account.

As well as designing crochet patterns Eleonora loves to share her passion for crochet and inspire others through workshops and teaching of the craft

Cancellation Policy

A full refund can be given if a cancellation is made up to 10 days prior to the event, after this time a refund can only be given if the spot can be filled by another student. This includes in the event of illness, personal circumstances or any other situation which is out of YAK’s control. These rules are also applicable to course transferals – you must cancel up to 10 days prior to the event in order to be moved onto another course.

We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given.
