Crochet A Picture

Crochet A Picture is a 3 hours workshop hosted by Eleonora from Coastal Crochet. Eleonora will guide participants to crochet their own ‘picture’ whilst learning a variety of crochet techniques, including surface crochet, imaginative use of colour, a mixture of stitches and appliqué!

Participants will be encouraged to unleash a little creativity as they mix and match the available motif patterns and colours to create their own coastal inspired crocheted picture.

Surface crochet will be demonstrated and taught in a freeform way where participants are encouraged to ‘draw’ with their hook and yarn to add to their picture.

Each picture shown here is made using exactly the same base pattern which will be
provided. It’s the change in colours and the variety of appliqués and use of surface crochet that gives each picture a completely different look… from beach scene to underwater world and a dolphin at sunset!
For this Crochet A Picture course, you will need a 3.5mm and 4mm crochet hook and some Scheepjes Catona. These are available to purchase at YAK on the day and you will receive a 10% discount.

Crochet A Picture is suitable for advanced beginners. You will need a basic understanding of crochet and be able to do the basic stitches.
