Make A Squishy Pom Pom

Iroiro Roving is a beautiful single ply yarn, spun with a little bit of twist. Iroiro means ‘various’ in Japanese, an apt name to reflect the wide variety of colours available in the range.

Made from 100% wool, this aran weight yarn comes in small balls of 20g. Due to its texture and format, Iroiro Roving is particularly suited to make squishy pom poms. A great option to top-off a beanie  without having  to commit to a full 100g ball.

It would also work well with stranded pattern where only small amounts of each colours is required.

Daruma is a renown Japanese household name.  Founded in 1901 by  industrialist Chozaemon Yokota, they first specialised in the production of sewing thread.

In the 1950s they expanded to knitting and crochet yarn. Yokota took great pride in the high quality and durability of his products. His motto “Price is always changing, Quality is timeless” remains the main driver of the company to this day.

Most of their spinning and dyeing in Bishu, the traditional centre of production of woollen fabric in Japan.
