Fonty – Boheme
The wonderful Boheme by Fonty is a great choice for all of your summer knit and crochet projects. A light sport weight made of 65% Asian cotton and 35% French linen from Normandy, Boheme knits up beautifully as a light top or as a summer cardigan with lots of drape and great stitch definition.
Lightweight and breathable, Boheme is guaranteed to keep you cool on a hot summers day whether you are wearing it or knitting with it. The mix of cotton and linen in this base makes for a great hardwearing yarn that can be machine washed up to 40° whilst remaining soft for those with sensitive skin, or for children. With 22 colours to choose from, including bright summer tones and soft pastels, there’s a choice for everyone!
Also known as the filature de Rougnat, Fonty was founded in 1880 and it is today one of the oldest and last French mills still in use. It is located in the Creuse, a part of the country historically known for its textile industry and the breeding of livestock. In 2017 it was accredited with the EPV label, an accreditation given by the French government to companies within the manufacturing sector in recognition of their expertise, technical knowledge and high level of craftsmanship.
