Lang – Jawoll
£4.85
The soft yet durable Jawoll by Lang yarns is a particularly interesting sock yarn. A classic 75% wool and 25% nylon sock base which comes with a reinforcement yarn to strength the heels and toes – the parts that get the most wear – therefore prolonging the life of your knits!
The wool is sourced from the corriedale breed in Chilean Patagonia, a super soft and comfortable wool which makes this yarn perfect for babies or those with sensitive skin. It also holds the dye extremely well, leading to a large colour range of rich colours that including bright and pastel shades that match perfectly together.
Two 50g balls of Jawool will make you a pair of lovely hardwearing socks but this yarn would also make a superb shawl or lightweight jumper. The nylon content and reinforcement thread also lends this yarn to any knit that will be subject to a lot of abrasion – such as gloves or mittens.
