Plant Based
Line by Sandnes Garn is a beautifully soft blend of cotton viscose and linen. As a plant-based yarn. it has the absorbent and soft properties of cotton and viscose, combined with the cool feel of linen. This makes it an ideal yarn for knitted summer tops, cardigans and shawls as it won’t provide warmth.
Due to plant based yarns having little to no stretch, Line would make a wonderful option for crochet accessories such as hats and bags.
Sandnes Garn was first founded in 1888 in the industrial city of Sandnes and has since become an icon of the Norwegian knitwear industry. They are one of the oldest spinning mills in Norway.
Today, Sandnes Garn holds the position as the largest producer of hand knitting yarn in Europe, one of the world’s most up-to date spinning mills – in one of the oldest factories still running.
