West Yorkshire Spinners – Jacob DK

A gorgeous worsted-spun DK yarn made from 100% jacob wool. The fibres of worsted spun yarns are combed prior to spinning resulting in yarns that are smooth, firm, strong and drapey. The Jacob DK is all of the above. It is hard wearing and has a lot of drape perfect for warm garments and accessories that will see a lot of use. The four natural colours in the range come from the combination of the two-coloured coats of the Jacob sheep. The whole process is completely dye-free giving this yarn a very natural and traditional feel.

The West Yorkshire Spinners is one the few remaining worsted spinning mills in the country. Their Jacob fleece is ethically sourced within the UK and certified by the British Wool Board which guarantees the best standards of animal welfare.
