We have caught our breath after Edinburgh Yarn Festival, and are reflecting on how much of an amazing time we had whilst looking forward to our long weekend.
So firstly, thank you so much to everyone who came to our stand, the amount of customers who showed love for our brick and mortar shop in Brighton was very touching. We met lots of existing customers and enjoyed meeting lots of new ones. Show atmospheres are spectacular and the buzz around EYF was infectious. Helping people choose colour combos of De Rerum Natura was a pleasure, fans of The Fringe Supply came from far and wide to pick their favourite colour Field Bag.
On Friday we had a meet and greet with Jess who is the genius behind Olann. Jess creates beautifully hand dyed yarn from Ireland. Using refreshing techniques to create stunning colours, ranging from deep rich tones to light pastels with accents and hints.
Meeting Jess and having conversations about her awesome dying business and future plans was super inspiring. We currently have her Sock Lite yarn and Mini Lite in the shop. (Don’t forget to use your free shipping code for the long weekend. Quote ‘longweekend’ at check out.) and stay tuned for other gorgeous yarns we will be getting from Jess!
Everyday Sport from The Uncommon Thread was as popular as ever. With Kate’s cardigan on display in the Turbillion colourway we think we will be seeing a lot more ‘Waits‘ by Bristol Ivy in the world soon! We have got lots of Everyday Sport in the shop, and also Posh Fingering, a luxurious blend of BFL, Silk and Cashmere!
Thanks again for coming by, and thank you to Jo and Mica for making such a darn good show, and making our first big event a pleasure.
untill next time, happy knitting…
