This Saturday just gone I had the pleasure to be back in Steyning for the second Wind Up meet up. Visitors came from as far and wide as Lewes, London, Billinghurst and Brighton and I’ve never met such a friendly bunch! There was lots of tea, doughnuts, chatter and many many lovely projects being worked on.
Maggie from Textile Garden bought a skein of Malabrigo Lace from my stall at the meet up in September and came back this month with a little lacy scarf all finished! She was kind enough to let me put it on my stall but I failed at taking a proper picture of it (or any photos at all!) but you can just about see it poking out on the right hand side of this photo taken by Bessie May.
The other vendors included By Hook Crochet who this month had gone all out with the Halloween theme including a crochet spider’s web and spider and the cutest little pumpkin pincushions. Marianne also does crochet workshops in Steyning and has up coming classes where you can learn to make your own Christmas decorations.
There have been a couple of lovely reviews around the web, including Linda from Tabitha Thomas who came in September and by Peri who came along on Saturday and who works with The Uncommon Thread, one of my favourite yarns we have at YAK.
The next event is all booked for the 22nd of Novemeber. Same time, same place. More information can be found at the Wind Up blog including some new vendors who will be joining us next month! I hope everyone will come back again and that the will be lots of new faces too!
