Well, we can’t remember a sunnier July. It has been HOT and in this heat we find ourselves drawn to all things 4 ply. Here are some of our favourite new pattern releases from this month for some of our favourite 4 ply yarns.
Daisy Lady by Stephanie Lotven
We love this summery knit, the easy-to-wear fit and the pretty texture, created by chains of daisy stitches around the yoke and on the body. It’s a pattern full of colour possibilities and we think it would work beautifully with Skein Queen’s Selkino.
Mariage Soeurs by Kathleen Dames
This is a delicate cardigan with lots of texture including lace, twisted stitches and bobbles. It’s perfect for any occasion and for year-round wear. We’ve got our eye on The Uncommon Thread’s Posh Fingering for this one.
Baby Nicole and Ruffle Shorties Set by Kate Oates
We can’t get enough of this adorable pattern set from Kate Oates including her Baby Nicole tank and Ruffle Shorties. We think the summery, marled shades of Marl Affection 4ply from Three Bears Yarn would look make this breezy tank and little ruffle bloomers look extra sweet! (We’d recommend swatching to make sure your sizing is correct for this yarn.)
Brioche on the Beach by Renée Callahan
We love this shawl’s beautiful brioche texture. Perfect for summer evenings on the beach when the sun has gone down and it starts to get chilly. This is the ideal project to show off the brand new Skinny Singles colours from Hedgehog Fibres.
