Pom Poms Everywhere !

Pom Pom Wool is a soft Aran weight yarn designed with tiny pom poms sewn into the thread! Like, Genmou, Pom Pom Wool is made of two fine threads twisted around a single ply of carded wool.

This unusual construction makes the yarn particularly light and soft and gives it a subtle wavy finish. Pom Pom Wool is the perfect yarn to bring a pop of colour and texture into an accessory, or to use as an accent on a garment.

Daruma was founded in 1901 by Chozaemon Yokota, an innovative industrialist who firmly believed in the importance of producing long lasting and high quality products.

First specialised in the production of sewing thread,  Daruma eventually expended to knitting and crochet yarn in the 1950s. Today Chozaemon Yokota motto’s  “Price is always changing, Quality is timeless” is still at the heart of the company ethos.

Daruma carries out their spinning and dyeing in Bishu, the traditional place of production of woollen fabric in Japan.

On The Needles

Daruma Genmou uses the same spinning method than Pom Pom Wool but without the tiny pom poms!

A gorgeous alternative with a soft single ply feel.
