Though 10% alpaca doesn’t sound like much, wait until you get your hands on this yarn! So soft it’s like butter. Kremke wanted the added softness that alpaca provides to make this yarn soft enough for garments as well as socks.

The wide range of colours this comes in, plus the fact the balls are 25g, makes Edelweiss the ideal choice for colourwork projects. It can be mix and matched with our Babygarn by Rauma Garn, giving even more colour possibilities.

Edelweiss is a lovely yarn to use for baby clothes and accessories, as it’s soft enough to be next to delicate skin, and is machine washable!

Kremke Soul Wool is a collection of innovative natural fibre yarns. Founder Britta Kremke has been knitting almost every day since she was a teenager. She gets her inspiration from trends in the fashion and yarn industry, or when she feels like there is a demand for a certain yarn composition.

Britta grew up in her mother’s yarn store, the first yarn shop in Hamburg in the 60s, but she eventually felt uninspired by seeing the same kind of standard ‘merino super wash’ and ‘super sock’ types of yarns, and wanted to create yarns with a soul. So nearly 10 years ago she started having producers spin distinct fibres into interesting, yet classic yarns.
