Tensho, beatice perron dahlen, knitwear, hand knitting pattern
Tensho by beatice perron dahlen

Tensho by Beatrice Perron Dahlen is a gorgeous yoked pull over knit from the bottom up in the round. We love the pattern colour work on the yoke inspired by Sumi ink artist dating from the 14th century. The sample is knit using The Fibre Co Cumbria, you can find a small selection of colours on our website here.

Somersworh, toniabarry, pattern round up, hand knitting pattern, knitwear
Somersworh by toniabarry

This fab top Somersworth by Tonia Barry would be great for layering with thicker jumpers, woolly tights and a nice dress. That would certainly keep all the warmth in, this worsted weight top is casual fitting, most stocking stitch with some fun colourful details around the sleeves. They could be worked using scraps of your favourite yarns you cant bare to part with!

The nahid dress, knitting expat designs, knitwear, hand knitting pattern, pattern round up
The nahid dress by knitting expat designs

Isn’t this little kiddies dress adorable!? The Nahid dress by Knitting Expat was inspired by the one the designers Aunt had knit her as a child. The garter stitch and scalloped hem is a super cute party dress for the festive season! This quick knit can be whipped up quick in fingering weight yarn. We think Malabrigo Sock would create a similar variegated look as pictured, and we have just got lots of colours back in stock.

Cranberry lattice cap, mary o'shea, pattern round up, knitwear, handknitting pattern
Cranberry lattice cap by mary o’shea

The Cranberry Lattice Cap by Mary O’shea is a very cheerful winter cap. The cap is uni sex and a colour work design using three colours. The stripes and texture give the cap a sporty look which we love! Not only is this a great winter warmer all proceeds from sales of the pattern will be going to a charity the designer loves. Find out more about that on the pattern page.

Kystens perle, emilie faueskov, hand knitting pattern, knitwear, pattern round up
Kystens perle by emilie faueskov

This unisex kids jumper, Kystens Perle by Emilie Faueskov is  light weight fingering layer jumper, which would be great for under a winter coat. We love the pattern and how creative you can be playing with colour combos. The construction is a simple top down in the round with no sleeve or body shaping to worry about. When you’ve got your pattern established you can just enjoy the colour work!

Until Next Time… Happy Knitting!
