There is something pretty special about giving hand made gifts for Christmas and now is the time to start casting on. We’ve put together a three part guide full of Christmas knitting and crochet ideas. From quick socks and mittens, to toys and homey gifts, we’ve rounded up some of the best projects to make for friends and family this year.

We’ll start with some of our favourite giftable makes to pop under the tree for friends and family. We’ve focused on quick cosy makes with a wide appeal to suit even that person the most difficult to buy for.

1. Aoibhinn by Ysolda Teague
We’ll start with these cable mittens. Quick to make and a lovely cosy gift.  Knit using Studio Donegal Soft Donegal.
