Want to start the New Year off by learning a new skill or being given the tools to master an ancient art? We have just released our class schedule for this Winter term.
These are last years graduates having just completed (or almost 😉 ) their Jumper Along! The jumper along class spans over 10 weeks, in which you will have 5 two hour sessions where students will be helped with pattern choice, finding yarn to match, based on your skill level and preferred fit! Suzanne will walk you through all aspects of jumper knitting, including; swatching, picking up stitches, neck bands, seaming, sleeves and any other skills that come up in your own unique pattern. You’ll get 15% discount on the materials you need to knit your jumper in store.
If you are just starting in your knitting journey we have a Learn to Knit class which is 2 sessions of 2 hours. For this class you don’t even have to had picked up a pair of needles before. Come along with enthusiasm and you will leave with the ability to cast on, cast off, knit and purl, all of which will create a cute set of mitts as your first project. You’ll get 10% discount off the materials you will need to complete them here!
For those who have mastered the beginner skills already, we have a Next Steps in Knitting class. You get to choose to knit either a hat or a shawl, learning lots of new skills along the way, increases, decreases, cables, slip stitches and simple lace, and knitting in the round if you choose the hat option! 10% off materials for your class as well.
Grow a Pair – Sock Knitting for Beginner is back on our timetable! This class is very popular and fairly intense as students are shown how to knit a baby sock in just one lesson of 6 hours. Once you know how to knit a baby sock, knitting an adult sock is a piece of cake. The skills taught – knit in the round using magic loop, decreasing, picking up stitches, seamless grafting – are used in a wide number of patterns and so extremely transferable. Great for ambitious beginner knitters who can knit, purl, cast on, cast off and want to get started on bigger projects, with 10% off your materials.
If you don’t fancy knitting, we have Crochet a Granny (square) class. Perfect for beginner hookers, you’ll learn the basics of crochet, how to begin and how to read charts, all while crocheting your first traditional square. You will make at least one in your lesson and have the skills to continue making your crochet blanket bigger and bigger by adding another square. You’ll get 10% discount on your hook and yarns you need to crochet your blanket.
