April 2019, pattern round up, knitwear design

April has been busy-busy for us! In between book launches and Yarn Shop Day we definitely had our fair share of fun. Many gorgeous patterns have also been released on Ravelry. Here follows a small selection of our top favourites.

1.Ystävä by Jonna Hietala

First on the list is the beautiful Ystävä by Jonna Hietala. This simple cardi is knitted seamlessly from the top down holding one strand of DK and one strand lace weight yarn together. This would work a treat with some
Onion Silk + Kid Mohair paired with some Eden Cottage – Milburn or some Coopknits – Socks Yeah! DK.

2. Gluma Beanie by Tabitha Jarvis

It might feel like woollen hat days are now long gone but we could not resist to feature this lovely beanie by Tabitha Jarvis. The lace motifs is just too pretty to be left unnoticed! The Malabrigo Sock or the Uncommon Thread Posh Fingering would both be great matches for that project.

3. Ocotillo by Melissa Kemmerer

For those of you itching to get started on your summer projects, we’ve selected the Ocotillo top by Melissa Kemmerer. Worked seamlessly from the top down, this top features a high neckline and a diamond lace motifs inspired by Native American artwork.
This top would definitely work best with a plant based yarn like the Karin Oberg – Kalinka.

4. Willa by Sari Nordlund

With this design Sari Nordlun offers a modern interpretation of the traditional Aran cardi. We love the richness of her textured motifs and her combination of bobbles and cables. De Rerum Natura – Gilliatt or the WYS – Croft would be perfect to emulate that rustic feel.

Until Next Time… Happy Knitting!
