Can you believe we’re already in July? As some of you are getting ready to go on holiday, you may still wonder what project to pack and what project to leave behind? I always leave with hope of getting a lot of knitting done and although it doesn’t always work as planned it’s nice to have a couple of projects to choose from to fill the downtimes. For this Round-Up we’ve selected a handful of lovely summer patterns that will instantly set the mood for your time away.

First up we have the delightful Kaga Pullover by Ririko, a v-neck pullover with a hi-lo slit hem and stitch detailing reminiscent of a Kaga (flower bud in Japanese). Knit holding one fingering yarn with one lace yarn, we recommend using CaMaRose Organic Summer Wool with Midnatssol for a summer jumper with a touch of fluff.

Summerdown by Jacki Badger is an oversized, lightweight top with a hint of lace on the centre sleeves – the perfect knit to throw over your favourite dress on a cool summer’s eve. This top can either be knit with a fingering and lace weight held together, or with a DK yarn – we think Sandnes Garn Alpakka would be a great choice for a perfectly draped knit.
