We love finding a good podcast to listen to while sitting down with a project and a cuppa (or maybe a Pimm’s for summer). Here are five episodes we have enjoyed recently:
1. Woolful Making Podcast. No. 7 / COLOUR – Knitting Narratives with Anna Maltz
We are big fans of Anna Maltz, her patterns, her sweater spotting adventures on Instagram and we’ve loved having her visit us in Brighton. So we really enjoyed this podcast hearing Anna tell us her story, including what inspires her and all about her latest book Marlisle: A New Direction in Knitting.
2. Pom Pom Quarterly – Pomcast Episode 52
We enjoyed listening to the latest chatty episode from Pom Pom Quarterly, including some snippets on the next issue which we are very excited to get our hands on.
3. Crafty Planner Podcast Episode #126: Karen Templer Of Fringe Supply and Fringe Association
With the launch of Hank the latest Fringe Supply Co Field Bag, we loved having a listen to this interview with the founder, Karen Templer and learning about her story and how she chooses what to knit in the pursuit of a more conscientious wardrobe.
4. Wardrobe Crisis with Clare Press Episode 47 – Tim Silverwood, Beating Plastic Pollution
This informative episode on beating plastic pollution with activist and campaigner Tim Silverwood explores the severe consequences of plastic waste on the environment and what we can do about it.
5. Death in Ice Valley. BBC World Service
Finally, for something a little different, a very addictive series about a woman found in unusual circumstances in 1970 in Finland. Who was she? Could she have been a spy? Why hasn’t she been missed? We were hooked from the first episode.
Let us know what you think and send us over your podcast recommendations, we would love to hear them. And if you need a new project idea to accompany your podcast of choice, how about one of these Summer knits!
