We can’t wait to welcome you back to our shop in Brighton but firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you for supporting us through the last few months. We may not be an essential shop but you have made us feel very needed, whether that was through making an order or sending over a few kind words, it has really meant a lot and we feel so lucky to have such wonderful customers.

We are implementing changes and getting ready to open our physical doors again on the 16th June. We will be open our normal full opening ours. Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 6 pm and Sundays 12 pm – 5 pm. Please keep reading for specifics on our physical shop and some small changes online as well.

Our Bricks and Mortar Shop in Brighton

According to government guidelines we will be implementing some restrictions to how you will be able to shop. Due to the size of the premises we will be able to accommodate up to 2 customers in the shop at any one time. There will be floor markings to indicate 2 meter distances within the shop as references and we ask for you to please keep 2 meters from other customers and staff at all times.

We understand that choosing yarn for a project is an important decision, it’s not one that can be made lightly and it can take time. However, the safety of our staff and customers is paramount and therefore we will be implementing a maximum time limit that customers can be in the shop. This will be a maximum of 15 minutes, in line with the government’s track and trace system.

If you think you will need a significant amount of help on your visit, we ask you to please get in touch by email or phone before coming in. We can chat through your options; we can email you pattern suggestions for you to browse and choose, get ready suitable yarn options and ideas. Please help us help you make your visit as efficient as possible.

Drop ins are welcome however to avoid people waiting too long outside the shop we will encourage customers to plan ahead for their visit and book an appointment. We will have half of our capacity open for appointments. Appointments will be taken over the phone during opening hours only. Please call 01273 679 726 to make an appointment. Available slots will span from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and each appointment will last 15 minutes. If for any reason you are unable to make it to your appointment please do keep us informed so we can free up your slot to accommodate other customers. Please note that we will be closed from Saturday 13th to Monday 15th inclusive, so we won’t be available to answer the phone on those dates.

Please remember appointments are optional and we will only be keeping half our capacity for appointments, the rest will be open to those dropping in.

We will encourage customers to keep yarn squishing to a minimum. However we want you to feel safe while handling our yarns so Hydro-alcoholic gel will be made available by the shop entrance and we ask that all customers sanitise their hands before entering the premises. To limit the physical interaction between members of staff and customers we will encourage you to pay by card.
