Pattern round up, march 2022, ravelry

A couple of weeks ago we were basking in the glorious sun on our lovely local beaches, and then we were back to wearing all our woollens in the snow! And now? Well who knows! We’ve packed this round up full of different patterns to suit anything the great British weather will throw at us.

First up we have Conch by Jennifer Beale, an enormous wrap worked in one piece, inspired by beautiful creatures of the sea such as the Sea Butterfly. Knit in a sport weight yarn such as De Rerum Natura Ulysse, this multi functional wrap will keep you warm on those cooler spring days.

The Tara Cabled Pullover by Lime Scented is a comfortable, slouchy pullover, elevated with cabled stars down one side. The amazing stitch definition of De Rerum Natura Gilliatt would be perfect for this pullover as would Studio Donegal Soft Donegal if you fancy a speckled tweed effect.

Crocheted Socks? Well go on then! These Cityside Cable socks by Claire Olivia Golden are perfect for those obsessed with big, squishy cables. Use a solid coloured yarn such as Onion Nettle Sock Yarn to make the texture really pop.

The Foglietti Cardigan by Eline Alcocer is a drapey, loose fitting garment that can either be worn open or closed with the addition of a shawl pin. The lace panel adjacent to the ribbing adds a special touch to this casual crochet piece. We think the 30% cotton 70% wool blend of CaMaRose Organic Summer Wool would provide you with a fabulous spring cardigan.

How delightful is the Spring Pop Sweater (Vårpopgenser) by Maria / Strikketanten? Maybe it’s just the sample’s colour scheme, but this top down children’s knit is making us think of delicious cupcakes and scrumptious treats – the soft palette of CaMaRose Snefnug will definitely mimic this!

Last but not least we have the Daylily Morning Gloves by Moira Engel. These 4ply weight fingerless gloves are perfect to keep your hands warm on those chiller days, without having to reach for your thick winter mitts. The stunning hand dyed Black Elephant Sock will definitely give this accessory the wow factor!

That’s all for today! We hope this Round Up inspired you for your next project but if you want more click here to read all our patterns suggestions.

Until Next Time… Happy Knitting!
