Our monthly round-up of our favourite Ravelry releases!
Sari Nordlund has designed a quintessentially Monica Gellertop that will delight the fans of the show. First spotted in the episode The One With The Ick Factor, short sleeves pullovers became a staple of Monica’s wardrobe during the show first season. Keep it light and cool with the Organic Summer Wool. For a super soft and opulent look, opt for the Posh Fingering instead.
Ardent by Kindred Red is the ultimate statement piece. Ruffled sleeves, low-high hem, and striking colour blocks: not only it looks very unusual but it would also be very entertaining to knit. Ardent was published in the latest Pom Pom Issue 33 and was designed in Kelbourne Woollens Mojave.
The Cold Shoulder Crop by Park Williams is a sleeveless down-down top featuring a mock turtleneck and a textured motif around the shoulders. Using an all cotton yarn like the MoYa DK would make it perfect for the summer. If you’d prefer some extra warmth Sandnes Garn Merinoull would also be a great option. Note that MoYa stopped their production during lockdown so we were unable to restock our DK range for a while. Hopefully we shall be able to get some more within the next few weeks.
TheColour Quadrant Capby James N Watt is a fun intarsia beanie knitted in quarters of contrasting colours. Yarn can be fingering held double or DK held single. It would look particularly striking in the hand dyed palette of the Qing merino DK.
With their unusual sideways construction theTenkaisocks by Yucca are completely seamless and reversible. For a striking fade match colours from the Black Elephant Sock collection with colours from the Qing Glitter Sock range. Pattern also comes with a worsted weight variation perfect to knit yourself some cozy winter socks.
